Our four-tiered fee structure is based on the cost of the course, program or activity as follows:
Tier 1 Fee - No charge:
Free listings will be available at Sportspeople Learning where the course, program or activity you provide has a cost to participants of $500 or less. There's no limit to the number of courses, programs or activities you can list throughout the year as long as they each remain $500 or less. You can update and add to your directory listing on-line.
Here's some typical course, programs and activities that might be included as Tier 1:
- AUSTSWIM courses
- Fitness courses & workshops
- National Coaching Accreditation Scheme (NCAS) courses
- Statement of Attainment and Certificate I and II courses
- Some TAFE programs and courses
- Professional development workshops and training courses.
Tier 2 Fee - $300 (plus GST) Annual Fee:
Where a course, program or activity you provide costs from $501 to $2,000 your Sportspeople Learning fee will be $300. There's no limit on the number of courses, programs or activities you can list throughout the year as long as they each remain under the value of $2,000. You can update and add to your directory listing online. The Sportspeople Learning fee is for a twelve month period.
Please note Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education and Independent Tertiary Colleges) offering courses from Diploma to post-graduate qualifications are excluded from Tier 2 and are automatically considered Tier 4.
Here's some typical course, programs and activities that might be included as Tier 2:
- Certificate III and IV + other courses under the Australian Qualification Framework
- Professional development workshops and training courses
- High level Exercise Professional programs
- Some TAFE programs and courses
- Conferences and forums.
Tier 3 Fee - $600 (plus GST) Annual Fee:
Where a course, program or activity you provide costs more than $2,001 your Sportspeople Learning fee will be $600. There's no limit on the number of courses, programs or activities you can list throughout the year. You can update and add to your directory listing on-line. The Sportspeople Learning fee is for a twelve month period.
Please note Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education and Independent Tertiary Colleges) offering courses from Diploma to post-graduate qualifications are excluded from Tier 3 and are automatically considered Tier 4.

- Intensive professional development courses

Tier 4 Fee - $1,000 (plus GST) Annual Fee - Tertiary Institutions:
Tertiary institutions are classified by Sportspeople as Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education and Independent Tertiary Colleges offering courses from Diploma to post-graduate qualification.
There's no limit on the number of courses, programs or activities you can list throughout the year. You can update and add to your directory listing online. The Sportspeople Learning fee is for a twelve month period.
The Tertiary Institution classification used by Sportspeople Learning is as follows:
- Human Movement/Exercise/Sports Science
- Sport Management
- Physical Education
- Sports Medicine/Allied Health - includes Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Occupational Therapy and Dietetics
- Leisure/Recreation/Tourism
Featured Learning - $1,000 (plus GST) - no GST for non-Australian entities:
With a Featured Learning your courses, programs and activities appear in the premier position on the Sportspeople home page and featured in the Sportspeople e-news. Limited numbers available every month, this advertising option will appeal to providers looking to maximise exposure of their courses, programs and activities.
- Company Logo on home page (linked to listing of all advertisements) - up to 30 days
- Course/program/activity titles scrolling on the home page.
- Promotion on our social media network including facebook, twitter and LinkedIn.
- Featured in the next Sportspeople e-news.

When determining which Sportspeople Learning fee will apply you should be mindful of the following general policies:
- Where you provide a number of courses, programs or activities the Sportspeople Learning fee will be calculated using the highest priced course, program or activity. For example if you run lots of courses all under a cost of $500 each, the Tier 1 fee will apply where you run courses with some under $500 and others costing up to $2,000 the Tier 2 fee will apply and, where you run some courses under $500, others costing up to $2,000 and the remainder over $2,001 the Tier 3 fee will apply.
- The Sportspeople Learning fee is charged on a twelve month basis from the date of the first course listed.
- Upgrading your Sportspeople Learning account is possible at any time. For example if you have registered and paid a Tier 2 fee and add a new course, programs or activity which is over the $2,001 threshold, Sportspeople will simply charge you the upgrade fee of $300 to move you to Tier 3 level.
- Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education and Independent Tertiary Colleges are automatically considered Tier 4 regardless of the course or program fee.
- All fees for Learning advertisements in New Zealand will be charged in New Zealand currency (plus GST). All other Learning advertisements will be charged in Australian Dollars (plus GST).
