Responsible for the staff of Softball NSW and reporting to the Board through the Chair, the CEO provides leadership, direction and overall management of all activities, business operations and services delivered by Softball NSW. The role works with the Board in the development of the strategic plan, and will manage its implementation to achieve the organisation’s vision.
This ‘hands-on’ role requires a strong, dynamic leader with excellent communication skills who is able to engage with a diverse stakeholder group and demonstrate the ability to develop and nurture key relationships within the softball community, including volunteer coaches, officials and administrators at the grassroots level. The role has a focus on building participation and membership, business development whilst developing and maintaining a network between stakeholder groups, commercial/funding partners, member clubs/associations and Softball Australia.
To be considered for this role you will have a strong track record in strategic leadership, demonstrated staff and management experience with a strong commercial acumen. You will have a demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and activities whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail, delivering projects both on time and on budget.
An understanding of the Australian sporting landscape and a thorough knowledge and appreciation of softball will be an advantage but is not a necessity; however you must be committed to providing strong foundations for the growth of the sport in NSW.
