Lead the Joondalup Wolves NBL1 Men’s program in line with the association’s strategic priorities and goals. Provide leadership and ultimately be responsible for the on-court performance and success of the Men’s NBL1 team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Coach in the NBL1 preseason and official season, as a senior leader of the Wolves Men's team.
2. Attend all NBL1 training sessions and games and lead the preparation of the team and game strategies.
3. Promote a supportive, high performance Wolfpack Basketball environment.
4. Engage with sponsors, media, local basketball community and other key stakeholders to foster a positive image of the Wolves.
5. Development and execution of the training plan (pre-season and in-season) for the team and individuals.
6. Abide by the policies and decisions of the WBA concerning team arrangements as conveyed to you by the CEO.
7. Understand and meet the programs financial budgets.
8. Promote, foster and advance the WBA profile and promote basketball exclusively within the Wolves region.
9. Work with the CEO and appointed club List Management Group to identify and recruit players.
10. Work with D-League and WABL coaches to provide a pathway from juniors to seniors.
11. Recruit and manage all team staff and personnel including assistant coaches and managers.
12. Monitor the performance of the senior Men’s program of the WBA.
13. Review the on-court performance annually and provide a written report to the CEO
14. Conduct mid and post season player reviews in conjunction with CEO.
15. Adhere to all WBA, BWA and NBL1 policies.
16. Elicit and nurture a positive relationship between all members of the NBL1 squad/support staff and the wider reach of the WBA.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant Basketball Coaching Experience
• Minimum Level 2 (Association) coaching qualification
• Current Working with Children’s Check (WWC)
• Senior coaching experience (NBL1 or equivalent state league level)

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

• Performance Level (Level 3) Coaching Accreditation
• Coaching experience at the State and or National level
• Elite level coaching experience (NBL, WNBL, College etc.)
