Are you ready to make your mark on the pitch and inspire the next generation of cricketing talent? Guildford Grammar School is on the lookout for passionate and driven Cricket Coaches to join our dynamic Senior and Junior teams for the upcoming Summer Season. The ideal candidate will possess strong qualifications and experience in Cricket, with a commitment to developing our players both on and off the field.

If you are passionate about Cricket and dedicated to developing young athletes, we would love to hear from you! Please submit a short cover letter outlining your experience both playing and coaching, along with a current resume that includes details of three current referees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coach and mentor teams during training sessions and matches.
  • Develop and implement training plans tailored to the skill levels and further development of the students.
  • Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive culture leaving behind a legacy in the Guildford Grammar Cricket program.
  • Work closely with the Head of Cricket to support talented players in achieving both team and individual success.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during training and fixtures.

Training Schedule (depending on the team you’ll be coaching)

  • Tuesday and Thursday, 3.30pm – 5.30pm (Seniors)
  • Monday and Wednesday, 3.30pm – 5.30pm (Juniors)

Fixture Schedule:

  • Friday afternoons 12.30pm-6.30pm (Juniors)
  • Saturday mornings 8am – 5pm (Seniors)

About you:

  • Strong knowledge of cricket and proven coaching techniques.
  • Coaching accreditation preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate young athletes.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive sporting environment.
  • The right to work in Australia.
  • Police Check (dated within the last 6 months).
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Previous coaching experience preferred.
  • Ability to build rapport with students and colleagues within the Sports Department and across the School.

Essential Requirements

  • National Police / Criminal History Check
  • Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
