About the Role
We are looking for casual Leisure Attendants to fulfill the Aquatics Instructor - Coach role. This role is responsible for developing training plans that focus on stroke correction, endurance, speed and training techniques in all four competitive strokes for students who would like to continue their development beyond the Swim & Survive program. This involves:
- Ensuring safe, efficient and cost-effective operations of the squad program, ensuring compliance with relevant policy and legislative guidelines
- Monitoring progression of students through the squad program, identify talented swimmers and encourage participation in the squad program
- Actively promote the squad program and affiliation with AUSTSWIM / Royal Life Saving
About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:
- Australian Swimming Coaches and Teachers Association accreditation bronze, silver, gold or platinum
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Award (CPR) or RLSSA Pool Lifeguard Award
- Working with Children Check
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with a range of ages from children to adult athletes and the ability to communicate and interact with students with a range of needs and abilities. You will be enthusiastic, have great customer service skills and possess a passion for teaching the skills and attributes of competitive swimming and water safety.
