What will I be doing?
Reporting to the Fitness Centre Manager, you will be responsible for creating a positive member experience. You will provide quality personal training sessions, instruct group exercise classes, complete fitness assessment and program designs and assist in operating an excellent facility including: a gym, indoor and outdoor pool, group exercise studios, child minding, massage and more. We are looking for the right person to fit into our team culture and provide the ultimate member experience.
The key tasks include:
- Supervision of the Club’s Gym and Pool
- Provision of fitness advice
- Conducting Personal Training
- Conducting Group Exercise Classes
- Fitness Assessments and Exercise Prescription
- Assisting the Fitness Centre Leadership Team with the day to day running of the Fitness Centre
- Opening and closing of the facility
This is a part time role that requires availability to work the following days and times,
- Mondays 12:30pm - 8:30pm
- Fridays 5:30am - 10:30am
- Saturdays 5:30am - 1:30pm
What does the Club need from me?
Essential:
- Fully qualified Exercise Specialist (Minimum of Cert IV in Fitness required)
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the fitness industry or similar role
- Registered with Fitness Australia
- Pool Lifeguard, Senior First Aid & CPR Certifications
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Qualified Group Fitness Instructor (free style)
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- The ability to work within a team
- The ability to motivate members and a proactive personality will also be highly regarded
Desirable:
- Aust Swim Certificate
- Pilates Certification (Performer and Mat)
- Yoga Certification
- Nutrition Certification
- Boxing Certification
- Cycle Certification
- Aqua Certification
