  • Work for City of Canada Bay's Rhodes Recreation and Five Dock Leisure Centre
  • Includes some Saturdays and Sunday shifts - Weekend penalty rates apply
  • Salary is between $63,576 to $73,112 (pro rata) depending on the level of accreditation and experience.

About the role

Our Gymnastics department is currently recruiting Kinder Gymnastics Coach which is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, being the face of gymnastics through coaching, gymnastics classes are run professionally and safely.

As the Gymnastics Coach the role contributes to enhancing the overall customer experience by providing a good quality service, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing information about Council Services.

Within the area of responsibility, this role will (not limited to):

  • Lead and assist in the day-to-day operations through coaching and overlooking a wide variety of classes from 6 months to 5 years
  • Coach across a wide range of programs and mentor other coaches while showing creativity through weekly program themes
  • Assist where required in responding to customer feedback and complaints
  • Ensure all equipment and facilities are maintained in a safe and operational condition
  • Show commitment to working with the Child Safe Standards, and aligning professional practice with the outcomes of Council’s Child Safe Action Plan.

About the person

To be successful in this role, the candidate should have:

  • Holding or working towards a current Gymnastics Australia Accreditation or Early Childhood Certificate or Diploma
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain one
  • A current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one
  • Proven experience in excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Help little movers learn, play, and grow in a fun, supportive environment.
