PLC Sydney is seeking a visionary Head Badminton Coach commencing Term 3, 2026 (20th July). This role drives the technical development of players and coaches across both Junior and Senior Schools, fostering a culture of excellence and sportsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design a comprehensive 'playbook' and training curriculum; oversee trials, player grading, and performance tracking to ensure a competitive program.
- Recruit and mentor high-calibre coaching staff (including alumnae); liaise with local clubs to create external pathways for players.
- Manage equipment, provide strategic post-season reviews, and maintain a visible presence at College sporting events.
Selection Criteria:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of coaching experience, with at least 3 years in youth athlete development or performance environments (experience with female athletes is highly regarded).
- Skills: Exceptional technical knowledge of Badmonton, strong organisational abilities, and the interpersonal skills to lead staff and engage with parents and students.
- Requirements: High-level coaching accreditation, current First Aid & CPR, and a valid NSW Working with Children Check.
You will be required to support the Christian ethos of the College.
