The Opportunity
NSW Touch Football is seeking a practical, community-focused and relationship-driven professional to join the organisation as Regional Development Officer.
This full-time role is responsible for supporting participation growth, affiliate development and local delivery outcomes across an allocated region on behalf of NSW Touch Football.
As a key field-based role within the Growth & Innovation portfolio, the Regional Development Officer will work directly with affiliates, schools, councils, community groups, volunteers and participants to strengthen local touch football environments and support the delivery of statewide development priorities at a regional level.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with local communities, building strong relationships and making a direct impact on the growth, accessibility and sustainability of the sport.
Key Focus Areas
- Delivering regional participation and development initiatives
- Supporting affiliates with local planning, growth and engagement
- Strengthening relationships with schools, councils and community partners
- Connecting school and introductory programs into local affiliate pathways
- Identifying local opportunities to grow, retain and re-engage participants
- Providing regional insight, reporting and stakeholder feedback
- Supporting NSWTF events, programs and broader organisational initiatives
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a motivated and organised professional with experience in sport development, community engagement, education, local program delivery or a related field.
You will bring:
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- The ability to work independently across a regional portfolio
- A practical and solutions-focused approach to supporting local stakeholders
- Strong planning, organisation and reporting capability
- The ability to translate organisational priorities into local delivery outcomes
- A commitment to participation growth, service quality and continuous improvement
- A willingness to work collaboratively across a broader statewide development network
Experience working with affiliates, clubs, schools, councils, regional sport or community-based delivery models will be highly regarded.

Remuneration
An appropriate remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate, commensurate with skills, experience and the scope of the role.
Eligibility
Please note that only applicants with eligibility to work in Australia will be considered for this role. To be successful, you must hold Australian Working Rights or Australian Citizenship.
The successful candidate will also be required to hold or obtain a Working with Children Check, National Police / Criminal History Check, First Aid Certificate and current Driver Licence.
