Hills Basketball Association is seeking a highly organised and passionate High Performance Strength & Conditioning Coach to lead athlete development across the full Hills Hornets pathway. The role is responsible for the club’s strength and conditioning (S&C) framework, high-performance administration, athlete monitoring and wellbeing, and supporting on-court basketball development.

Managing the Hills Basketball's High Performance Centre Gym, located at Dural Recreation Centre, this is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to one of NSW’s fastest growing basketball associations and play a key role in shaping the Hornets pathway.

About the Role:

You will lead the Hornets High-Performance S&C program across junior, senior and NBL1 levels, including coaching, scheduling, staffing, customised programming and athletic testing protocols.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Build progressive S&C cycles tailored to junior, senior and NBL1 training needs, integrating sports science and injury prevention. Monitor athlete load and readiness, and adjust programming around peak competition periods (tournaments, trials, finals).
  • Develop & educate S&C Coaches to ensure the team of coaches provide 
  • Manage daily administration of the High Performance Centre. Database maintenance, membership tracking and class coordination across junior, senior and NBL1 programs, as key point of contact for HPC enquiries.
  • Liaise regularly with the High Performance Manager to align scheduling across junior, senior and NBL1 programs with athlete availability and program priorities.

About You:

We are looking for someone who thrives in sport environments and passionate about building athletes to become better basketballers.

You will ideally have:

  • ASCA Level 2 or higher
  • Club Basketball Coach or higher
  • Experience in gym management and program administration
  • Strong organisational and communication skills

This is a permanent part-time position (32 hours per week).
