The Melville City Hockey Club (MCHC) is one of the largest in the world class Hockey WA (HWA) competition. Using the HWA Club Development Framework as a base the MCHC is one of the most sustainable clubs in the competition with facilities that are the envy of our competitors.
As we continue to evolve and strive to provide the right environment for our 1,000 + members a need has been identified to create a new position within our governance structure which assumes accountability for delivery of the “MCHC Hockey Experience”.
The Director of Hockey duties will include but not be limited to:-
Be the link between the playing group and administrative side of the club.
Support the Vice President’s Junior, Women and Men in the delivery of the MCHC Hockey Experience.
Be responsible for coach and player recruitment, retention and development for our Women and Men’s Premier League sides. Coach and player recruitment to be recommended to the Clubs Executive Management for final approval.
Work closely with the Junior Development Officer to ensure a consistent flow of juniors into all senior grades of the club.
Establish and document sustainable pathways for our players, (irrespective of abilities) and umpires.
Deal with HWA on all player related issues.
