Description

Are you a qualified Fatigue and Alertness Specialist ready to elevate human performance in one of Australia's most high performance operational environments?

Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Headquarters Air Command (HQAC) is seeking a dynamic professional to join the A9 Human Performance & Safety (HPS) team. This is not your average role - you will be providing services within the Human Performance Optimisation (HPO) work stream, delivering proactive, evidence-based programs to reduce risk and optimise the human performance, wellbeing and capability, keeping our personnel available and mission-ready.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support the implementation, review and continuous improvement of fatigue and alertness programs and projects
  • Deliver education, training, presentations and facilitated learning activities to individuals and groups on fatigue, alertness and human performance topics
  • Develop, review and maintain training, education and project resources, including presentations, facilitator guides, instructional materials, reports and other supporting documentation
  • Travel to operational military bases and remote field sites to deliver services where they are needed most

What You Will Bring

  • Postgraduate qualification (Masters or PhD) in Psychology, Neuropsychology, Physiology, Sleep Science, Human Factors, Human Performance, or a related discipline with demonstrated expertise in fatigue, sleep and alertness
  • Demonstrated expertise in preparing and delivering presentations, education sessions, training activities and briefings to a variety of audiences, including senior stakeholders
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience working in supporting or delivering fatigue management, sleep, human performance, education or related programs in occupational, operational, or performance settings, and
  • Valid Federal Police Check
