The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles Pathways Program is seeking expressions of interest from passionate, motivated and enthusiastic performance staff to join our male and female Pathways programs for the 2027 season.

We are looking for people who are eager to develop their skills, contribute to a high-performance environment and play an important role in the development of the next generation of Sea Eagles players.

Opportunities are available across our male and female Pathways teams, including:

  • Sports Physiotherapists - across all Pathways teams
  • Strength & Conditioning Coaches - Female Pathways, including the Lisa Fiaola Cup and Tarsha Gale Cup

Sports Physiotherapists
Our Pathways Physiotherapists play an important role in supporting the health, development and performance of our athletes. Working closely with coaching and performance staff, you will contribute to injury assessment, diagnosis, rehabilitation and return-to-play decision making within a high-performance team environment.

What we're looking for
Desirable experience:

  • 3-4 years' experience as a Sports Physiotherapist and/or Sports Trainer
  • Experience working within team sports
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • A proactive attitude and genuine willingness to learn and develop within a high-performance environment
  • A strong interest in rugby league and athlete development

Essential requirements

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Availability to meet the required pre-season and in-season commitments

Commitment 
Pre-season | November–January

  • 3 afternoons per week and occasional weekends with training and external trials across this period

In-season | February–April

  • 3 afternoons per week
  • Game day coverage

Strength & Conditioning Coaches – Female Pathways
We are seeking Strength & Conditioning Coaches to contribute to the development and delivery of our elite junior representative female programs, including the Lisa Fiaola Cup and Tarsha Gale Cup. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about athlete development and committed to creating a positive, challenging and high-performance environment for the next generation of female rugby league players.

We welcome applications from candidates with experience in rugby league, elite field sports or other high-performance development environments who are looking to further develop their experience within a professional sporting organisation.

About the role
Working within the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles Pathways performance program, you will contribute to the development and delivery of athlete programs aligned with Manly's high-performance standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with session programming in collaboration with the Head Coach
  • Designing and implementing athletic development programs
  • Developing athletes' strength, power, speed and conditioning capacities
  • Attending training sessions and match days
  • Working collaboratively with coaching and performance staff
  • Contributing to program planning with the Pathways & Performance Manager
  • Supporting the ongoing development of athletes within a high-performance environment

Qualifications & experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Exercise & Sport Science or an equivalent field, or currently studying
  • ASCA accreditation
  • Experience working within a high-performance, team sport or athlete development environment is desirable
  • Strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive approach and willingness to learn and develop
