Description
The course also builds deep capability in practice design, covering distribution and variability of practice, representative learning design and the task constraints that influence perception–action coupling. Coaches develop the skills to design periodised training blocks, select appropriate training structures, prepare purposeful sessions and manage their time and coaching demands with clarity.
Feedback frameworks are unpacked to help coaches guide athletes effectively while maintaining autonomy and adaptability. By the end, coaches will understand how to create high-quality learning environments that maximise retention, transfer, decision-making and long-term skill development, providing a critical foundation for all future coaching, strategy instruction and drill design.
The course will cover:
- Build effective learning environments
- Design purposeful practice structures
- Enhance transfer into games
- Improve session planning efficiency
- Shift players from performance to learning
- Apply evidence-based methods
- Improve feedback effectiveness
