Description

As Sport Development Officer, you will be expected to lead the team of casual employees and volunteers to deliver programs. As an effective communicator you will arrange program delivery with external partners including schools.

This is primarily a face-to-face role with supporting administration duties. The program delivery load will include, school groups, recreational programs, corporate events, development programs and competition programs.  You will also be primary contact for our State Representative Teams.

The primary outcome for this role is to ensure a safe environment for all participants and staff through high quality delivery of program activities, maintaining a safe environment and ensuring pathways are established to provide opportunities for all participants to engage in fullbore target shooting at whatever level they desire.

You are an outgoing person who can inspire people and bring them on the journey with you through your passion.

Key Responsibilities:      

  • Develops and implements target shooting programs and initiatives
  • Promotes and markets target shooting activities to the community
  • Provides guidance and support to individuals and groups in developing their target shooting skills
  • Organises and coordinates target shooting events, competitions and training sessions
  • Collaborates with schools, community organisations and sporting clubs to increase sports participation
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of sports development programs
