  • Salary ranges from $84,659 to $92,701 + super & leave loading.
  • Temporary full-time opportunity up to 7 October 2026.
  • The role will be located at both the Sydney International Regatta Centre and Sydney International Equestrian Centre.

About the role

The Events Officer coordinates logistics, liaising with organisers, supervises casual staff and manages site requirements and stakeholder communications. The role also involves monitoring performance, identifying improvements, and helping resolve operational challenges as they arise.

About you

The ideal candidates will bring to the role:

  • A proactive and organised approach to planning and delivering events, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and operational needs.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders, event organisers, and team members to ensure smooth event coordination.
  • A commitment to customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all event participants and stakeholders.

Essential Requirements

  • National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014
  • Obtain and maintain a Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012
  • Current Class C Drivers licence
  • Ability to work weekends and evenings as required

To be eligible to apply for this position, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident or hold a valid Australian working Visa for the duration of the appointment. Any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory National Police Check. You will also need to arrange a Working with Children Check, at your own expense.
