Galuwa Recreation Centre is Sydney's newest and most exciting community sport and recreation destinations.
Sydney Sports Management Group (SSMG), is seeking enthusiastic and dynamic Recreation Officers to deliver high quality customer service to our state-of-the-art facility.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new $82 million community facility, featuring indoor and outdoor multi-sport courts multipurpose rooms, a bistro, golf facilities and vibrant community programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patrons in person and over the phone
- Manage the membership and booking software (training provided)
- Effectively respond to leads to convert to trial bookings
- Maintain presentation of public-facing areas and updated promotional material
- Commitment to being part of a supportive team culture
- Work with colleagues and senior management to improve the facility
- Basic opening, cleaning, maintenance and closing duties
- Support the setting up and packing up of sports courts
- Contribute to the Work, Health and Safety of all patrons and staff
What are we looking for:
- Genuine interest in the Sport and Recreation industry. Golf knowledge will be advantageous
- No qualifications required, just the right attitude
- Comfortable speaking with clients of all kinds of demographics
- Friendly demeanour and positive attitude
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
- Weeknight and Weekend availability essential
- Working With Children Check essential
- RSA will be essential as food and beverage will operate from the golf proshop
- First Aid desirable or at least willingness to obtain prior to commencement of the role
