The Junior/Assistant Pickleball Coach will play a key role in the development of of junior athletes by delivering beginner to intermediate skills coaching, fostering competitive readiness, and supporting the organisation of junior competitions. This role requires both technical knowledge of pickleball and the ability to create a safe, supportive and engaging environment for young players.
Key responsibilities:
Organise and oversee junior competitions, including match scheduling, tournament administration and communication with participants and parents.
Ensure competitions are conducted in accordance with establised rules and with an emphasis on sportsmanship, fairness, and safety.
Support Head Coach in group clinics, private lessons, and junior development pathways.
Assist with administrative tasks including player evaluations, attendance tracking and program planning.
Contribute to the promotion and growth of junior pickleball programes within the community.
Flexible schedule required, with regular evening work.
Role involves extended periods of standing, demonstrating skills an supervising active play.
