About the opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated, appropriately qualified and experienced individual to join our Sports Clubs Liaison team.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity where you will play a key role in supporting the management and operation of community and recreation facilities across the city. As the Sports and Greenspaces Administrator, you will be central to liaising with sporting bodies, clubs and external partners regarding ground and facility allocation, while providing professional advice to ensure the effective administration of our city's sporting facilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with the management and bookings to ensure the efficient use and allocation of sports fields, amenities, and recreation infrastructure
- Oversee day-to-day administrative tasks including sports club scheduling, community event bookings, record maintenance, and stakeholder communication
- Deliver a high standard of customer service through clear and consistent communication about sports grounds, open spaces, and other park and recreation facilities.
Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Sports Management, Recreation and/or relevant experience in a similar position
- Suitable experience in an administrative function or similar role
- Experience in managing community sporting facilities and the proven ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
- Experience in the promotion and organisation of events and functions
- Demonstrated customer service and correspondence skills
- Demonstrated experience using computer software programs including Microsoft Office and the maintenance and development of databases
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Availability to work flexible working hours
- Current class C driver’s licence.
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,502.79 per week
- 35-hour working week
