Description

Waves Fitness and Aquatic Centre, located in the beautiful Hills Shire Council area, is looking for an experienced Aquatic Duty Supervisor to join our pool operations team. Our award-winning complex includes a 10-lane 50m outdoor Olympic-sized pool, additional 25m outdoor pool and two indoor learn to swim and leisure pools, along with a water play area.

What does this role look like:

  • Ensuring active supervision is provided to all users of the centre
  • Provide support in leading the lifeguard service so as to deliver the highest standard of water safety.
  • Ensure patron safety and provide emergency incident response
  • Ensure a high level of communication and customer service including resolving customer complaints
  • Contribute to creating Risk Assessments and Safe Operating Procedures where required.

What are we seeking:

  • Previous experience in pool supervision such as working with school swim carnivals, swim clubs, internal programs.
  • Experience supporting and leading lifeguards in the provision of pool supervision.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing patron safety by minimising risks and ensuring conditions of entry are managed.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the compliance with NSW Public Swimming Pools and Spa Pools Guidelines.
  • Pool Lifeguard Certificate, Aquatic Technical Operations.
  • First Aid - CPR (HLTAID009) Certificate.
