The Australian Cricketers’ Association (ACA) is the collective and representative voice of past, present and future male and female professional domestic and international cricketers in Australia. We strive to offer our members world leading, best practice service and support throughout every stage in their life of cricket and beyond, in every respect.
We are seeking an organised go-getter to join our team located in our Melbourne office to provide an exceptional member experience to our members by supporting the delivery of core member programs and services.
Working closely with the Head of Membership & Past Player Services and wider team, this role will play a key role in the retention of memberships through engagement, retention and identification of “at risk” members, identifying and engaging with prospective members who would benefit from being an ACA member
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Actively recruit and retain ACA members through our annual membership drive including research into new channels, developing and managing a pipeline of member prospects and onboarding of new members
- Support the Head of Membership & Past Player Services to ensure high-standard, member-focused delivery of core programs and services (in collaboration with relevant departments), including:
- Premier Cricket Program
- PPGDP
- Member Functions
- Member Health Fair Days
- Past Player Grants
- Effectively resolve any member queries or issues in a timely manner including reporting escalated issues to the Head of Membership & Past Player Services & GM - Member Services & Cricket Operations.
- Proactively engage with members throughout the year, gaining insight into how members can best engage with ACA to maximise member value proposition
- Support the communications team with the preparation and distribution of content related to membership benefits, programs and services.
- Support ongoing review of ACA memberships model including membership growth, engagement and retention strategies
- Maintaining accurate member details in CRM (Salesforce)
With a proven track record in a customer service or memberships role, your passion for providing an exceptional experience to our members along with your ability to build relationships will be critical skills for this role. In addition you will demonstrate:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven experience in managing and responding to customers’ queries and requests, managing complaints and difficult conversations, and customer-service related administration
- Excellent critical thinking capacity and the ability to exercise judgement and solve problems quickly and effectively
- Demonstrated capacity to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
- High level of initiative and drive to get things done
- Experience working in a small team and contributing to a team approach to problem solving
- Demonstrated understanding of cricket or elite sports industry
The nature of this role will mean there are times when travel and outside of standard business hours is required to meet operational and service delivery needs
