Galuwa Recreation Centre is Sydney's newest and most exciting community sport and recreation destination.
We are on the hunt for a passionate Operations Coordinator to lead operations whilst delivering exceptional customer service.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new $82 million community facility, featuring indoor and outdoor multi-sport courts multipurpose rooms, a bistro, golf facilities and vibrant community programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patrons in person and over the phone
- Manage the membership and booking software (training provided)
- Provide operational expertise for indoor sport courts, outdoor sport courts, multi-purpose rooms and golf course
- Maintain presentation of public-facing areas and updated promotional material
- Support the General Manager when unavailable and contribute to staff supervision and key decision making
- Ability to create relationships and work with different sectors of the community
- Support the management of cleaners and ensure daily and weekly schedules are enforced
- Support the setting up and packing up of sports courts
- Supporting the operational roster and contribute to the opening and / or closing of the facility
- Contribute to the Work, Health and Safety of all patrons and staff
What are we looking for:
- Previous experience in the coordination and delivery of programming in the Sport and Recreation industry
- Knowledge and understanding of the Sport and Recreation industry, with a commercial focus
- Skilled at communicating with patrons from diverse backgrounds
- A hands-on, proactive attitude whilst being part of a supportive team culture
- Proven ability to work in a high paced, active environment
- Weeknight and Weekend availability essential
- Working With Children Check essential
- RSA will be essential as food and beverage will operate from the golf proshop. Successful candidate must have a willingness to obtain if successful for the role
- First Aid certified or a willingness to obtain prior to commencement of the role
