The Role
PVRSC is seeking a highly organised, confident operator to design, deliver, and grow centre-managed competitions, leagues, events, and participation programs across multiple sports.
This role sits at the core of the Centre’s new operating model. You’ll run your program portfolio with real autonomy and accountability — focused on utilisation, quality delivery, and long-term sustainability.
This is a hands-on role for someone who knows how to turn demand into well-run programs, not just good ideas.
What You’ll Do
-
Design and manage centre-run competitions and leagues (basketball, futsal, netball, and emerging sports).
-
Own programs end-to-end: concept, scheduling, registrations, delivery, and review.
-
Plan and deliver tournaments, school events, holiday programs, and community activations.
-
Actively manage formats, pricing, and scheduling to improve peak and off-peak utilisation.
-
Recruit, support, and retain referees, coaches, and officials.
-
Be visible on the floor — engaging participants, parents, and officials.
-
Uphold clear standards around fairness, behaviour, and inclusion.
-
Track participation, utilisation, and performance, reporting against agreed KPIs.
What We’re Looking For
This role suits someone who has run programs before and knows what good looks like.
You’ll bring:
-
Proven experience managing sports competitions, leagues, or major events.
-
Strong organisation and follow-through — details matter here.
-
Confidence enforcing rules, managing conflict, and holding boundaries.
-
A commercial mindset — programs must be sustainable, not just popular.
-
Comfort working evenings and weekends.
You’ll stand out if you have:
-
Experience in multi-court or high-utilisation venues.
-
A track record of fixing underperforming programs or growing participation.
-
A reputation as someone others rely on when things get tough.
Why This Role Is Different
-
You’re helping build the system — not inheriting a finished one.
-
You’ll have real autonomy, backed by clear strategic direction.
-
You’ll be measured on outcomes, not activity.
-
Your work will directly shape the future of the Centre.
